Alicante Turrón, made following the original 15th-century recipe. The "Crónica de Alicante" (Chronicle of Alicante), written at the time by Dean Vicente Bendicho, states: "The Turrón commonly referred to as Alicante, made only with honey and almonds, resembles white jasper." This crunchy-textured nougat is made only with noble ingredients: almonds (68%), 100% Spanish honey (31%), and egg white.
